{In case you missed it – the first installment of Potty Talk with Mayhem.}
Let me preface the conversation below for you. Next week I’m heading to the BlissDom conference in Nashville. I’m excited to go but super duper bummed that I’m going sans sister. The hubs and Mayhem are joining me and meeting up with the in-laws for a couple of days of spoiling fun. I’ve been prepping Mayhem for the journey and talking about where we’re going and how she gets to spend the days with Daddy, MawMaw, and PawPaw while Mommy goes to the spa work. She decided to bring it up while perched on the throne yesterday.
Mayhem: I see MawMaw and PawPaw soon.
Me: Yes! Next week we get to see MawMaw and PawPaw.
Mayhem: Yes, we go beach. I SO excited!
Me: Well, we’re not going to the beach next week.
Mayhem: Yes. We go beach and see MawMaw and PawPaw.
Me: We are going to the beach with MawMaw and PawPaw in a few months, but next week we go to Nashville.
Mayhem: Oooooh. We go Nashville.
Me: Yes. We’re going to Nashville and staying at a big giant hotel and you get to see MawMaw and PawPaw.
Mayhem: Ooooooh … I SO excited! We go big giant IKEA and see MawMaw and PawPaw!
Me: Not IKEA honey, a big hotel.
Mayhem: I love big IKEA! … I SO excited!
Me: (sigh) I love IKEA too.
And with that, our conversation ended. I’m fairly certain she’s going to LOVE the Gaylord Opryland, but I’m packing some seashells and Swedish meatballs … just in case
